Having formed less than a year ago (and being named only 2 months prior to this date), The New Alone is already creating an impact on the music scene. When you see the band play, one wonders if front man Jordan Cook was born with a guitar in his hands, how Simon Tesfay can hit his huge Ludwig drums with such a fury of intensity and aggression night after night, and why bassist S.J. Kardash is so damn sexy. The answer lies in the band's passion for music. The boys know that the best music is that which comes from the soul. Their music draws on influences as diverse as Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Queens of the Stone Age, Sound Garden and others. They aspire to excite a new generation of music lovers with their own fresh and explosive brand of music.
The band hails from the notoriously cold prairie city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Before The New Alone, Jordan spent his days traveling the continent amazing audiences with his unbridled, raw energy and sharing the stage with some of the greatest guitarists in the world. The highlight of his young career occurred at the Montreux Jazz Festival when at just fifteen years of age he was declared the Revelation of the Festival. SJ performed with Jordan from the age of 12 to 17 before going on to perform in his own band, eventually to teaming up with Simon. It was only a matter of time before these three young lions joined forces to become The New Alone.
Now, the world is moving at the speed of light for the band. Having just recorded their debut album for Epic Records with multi-platinum producer Peter Collins at the helm, the band is ready to overtake the world and excite audiences with their fiery and dynamic music.
